The Sims 4 Cats & Dogs: Breeding for Profit
The Sims 4 Cats & Dogs expansion gives players the ability to create and sell brand new breeds of dogs, cats and other pets, but it can be difficult to figure out where you should start once you’ve created your own unique animal. This guide will teach you how to breed the perfect pet that’s both unique and valuable, so you can make big profits on your virtual animals!
Why breed?
Breeding is one of the most profitable ways to use your time in The Sims 4. It can also be a great way to spend time with pets or learn more about them. In this blog post, we’re going to go over the basics of breeding cats and dogs, and how you can get started!
How to get started
To start breeding in The Sims 4, go to the main menu and press the Y button. This will bring up the Change Career screen. Select the new icon at the top of the screen labelled Pet Store. This will take you to a screen with various options, but we’ll only be interested in two of them. Click on Create Kitten, then on Create Adult Cat. You’ll now see that you have an adult cat and a kitten following you around your home lot.

There are two commands that allow you to breed dogs and cats. The first is simply Breed. This will create a new dog or cat and produce an offspring of the same type as the parent. The second command is Rescue. This will take a random dog or cat from any household in your neighborhood, place it in your home, and then give you an opportunity to adopt it. Once you have adopted it, you can now use the Breed command on them to create a new pet!
